You require a professional, high-quality translation or interpreting service?
Then you’ve come to the right place! With more than 20 years’ experience as a translator and interpreter for German and English specialising in law and business, there is hardly anything in my areas of expertise that I haven’t translated.
I provide consecutive and simultaneous interpreting services, mainly
- in court and at appointments with a civil-law notary ('Notar') to notarise a real-estate purchase, company formation or marriage contract
- at corporate events, meetings and conferences
- for official procedures (e.g. marriage ceremonies at registry offices, residency interviews at the immigration office)
My regular simultaneous interpreting jobs in the corporate world include, for example, board meetings, annual general meetings, collection presentation events of fashion companies, supplier days and sales meetings.
While contract translations have been an important part of my professional work from the word go, criminal law translations and interpreting have become a focus in the past few years. My expertise also extends to all other kinds of commercial and legal translations, for instance in the fields of quality management, finance, human resources management, marketing etc.
As a sworn translator and interpreter I can perform certified translations that are accepted by public authorities and the courts.
You will find a more detailed overview of my work under Projects.
In order to be able to meet deadlines at short notice and to offer customers a wider range of languages and specialized fields, I work together with a network of highly qualified and experienced colleagues built up over many years.
I translate from English into German and from German into English. For translations into English, I collaborate with native English speakers as the occasion requires, and in the case of texts intended for publication I apply the dual control principle, which means that translations are always read by a second qualified specialist translator before going to publication.
I make sure to keep up to date by attending regular training courses as well as through active involvement in my professional association, the BDÜ (professional association of interpreters and translators in Germany). Regular visits to English-speaking countries ensures that besides my fund of technical and specialist terminology, my colloquial language skills are also up to the minute.
